Customer Driven Preferences
There are customer preferences that can be configured on this vehicle. Some items the customer may or may not want to have enabled. To carry out customer configuration process, connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel next to steering column. Insert Ford Service Function (FSF) card into NGS tester. Using NGS tester, set customer preferences as necessary. See CUSTOMER PREFERENCE INDEX (TOWN CAR) table.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
