Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

- Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Ensure that front wheels are in straight-ahead position.
- Remove left and right air bag module bolt access covers from rear of steering wheel. Remove steering wheel bottom access cover and disconnect air bag module connector. Remove and discard 2 air bag module retaining bolts. See Figure . Remove air bag module.
