The Parameter Identification (PID) mode allows the technician to view data values (PCM inputs and outputs) in real time. Generic PIDs are OBD-II standard to all vehicles and any OBD-II scan tool can access. Ford Specific (non-generic) PIDs can be accessed using New Generation Star (NGS) scan tool.
