All OBD-II scan tools must display OSR test. OSR will display monitors on vehicle and status of all monitors, complete or not complete. If not complete, scan tool will display which monitors are not complete. To enter OSR, turn ignition off. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program scan tool using the following steps:

  • Select vehicle and engine selection menu (optional).
  • Select year, engine, model and any additional information requested by scan tool.
  • Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
  • Select GENERIC OBD-II FUNCTIONS. Press TEST button if monitors are not complete.
  • Select ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS.
