Turn ignition off. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program scan tool using the following steps:

  • Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION menu.
  • Select NEW VEHICLE, YEAR & MODEL.
  • Select GENERIC OBD-II OPTIONS. Press CONT button if monitors are not complete.
  • Select PID/DATA MONITOR.
  • Turn ignition on or start engine and allow to idle.
  • Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
  • Select PIDs and press START to begin monitoring. If PID value is not as specified, perform appropriate CIRCUIT TESTΒ  .
