REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION






1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: When battery voltage is removed from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), all learned values will be cleared and reset to predetermined values. When battery voltage is restored to the PCM, the vehicle may exhibit certain driveability concerns. It will be necessary to drive the vehicle to allow the PCM to relearn values for optimum driveablilty and performance.

2. Remove the parking brake and shift consoles.






3. Place the gearshift lever in LOW and remove the four transmission control selector dial bezel screws.






4. Turn the transmission control selector dial bezel one quarter turn counterclockwise.






5. Loosen the PCM electrical connector bolt and disconnect the PCM electrical connector.






6. Slide the PCM straight out.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.






8. Connect the battery ground cable.
