WARNING:
- Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited, resulting in possible personal injury.
- Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running. Before servicing or disconnecting any fuel lines or components, perform the fuel pressure release procedure.
1. Key OFF.
2. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Service and Repair
3. Install pressure tester to fuel pressure test port on fuel rail.
4. Scan tool connected.
5. Key ON, engine OFF.
6. Enter Output Test Mode and run the fuel pump to obtain maximum fuel pressure. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
7. Fuel pressure should be 240-289 kPa (35-40 psi).
