Transmission Solenoid Cycling & Drive Test (Dynamic Test): Upshift/Downshift

- Remove line pressure gauge. Ensure gear select switch is in "1" position. Shift transmission to overdrive and accelerate to 15 MPH. Rotate gear select switch to "2" position. Vehicle should shift into 2nd gear. Accelerate to 25 MPH and rotate gear select knob for 3rd gear.
- Vehicle should shift into 3rd gear. Accelerate to 35-45 MPH and rotate gear select knob for 4th gear. Vehicle should shift into 4th gear.
- Reverse test procedure for downshifts. Ensure solenoid LEDs function as described for each shift. Vehicle should downshift through each gear.
CAUTION:
DO NOTΒ
depress TCC switch with transmission in gear and vehicle at a stop. Damage to TCC may result.
