Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Power Windows
Power windows are operated by reversible type motors mounted with each window regulator. A master control switch located on left door can operate all windows. Single switches in each passenger door can be locked out from the master switch.
One-touch down feature will lower driver's window to full down position with a brief touch on the window switch. A delayed accessory feature will allow window operation for 45 seconds after ignition is turned off. One-touch down and delayed accessory functions are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). The GEM has the ability to store and output Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and Parameter Identification (PID) values.
