- Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the door lock touchpad connector located in the driver side door. Measure the resistance of the door lock touchpad lamp circuit between the Pink and Black wires at the connector leading to the door lock touchpad. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . Is the resistance approximately 3 ohms? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the door lock touchpad. See DOOR LOCK TOUCHPADΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check the wire(s) leading to the door lock touchpad for signs of open(s) before replacing.
- Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the 20-terminal electronic door lock control processor connector located behind the left hand instrument panel lower cover. Disconnect the door lock touchpad connector. Measure the resistance of the Pink wire between the 20-terminal electronic door lock control processor connector and ground. Measure the resistance of the Pink wire between the 20-terminal electronic door lock control processor connector and the door lock touchpad connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms between the electronic door lock control processor and ground, and less than 5 ohms between the electronic door lock control processor and the door lock touchpad? If yes, go to next step. If no, service the Pink wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
- Turn key to OFF position. Disconnect the door lock touchpad connector. Measure the resistance of the Black wire between the door lock touchpad connector and ground. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, replace the electronic door lock control processor. See ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCK CONTROL PROCESSORΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If no, service the Black wire for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
