- Discharge A/C system using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Drain coolant. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect and remove integrated relay control module. Disconnect and remove fan and shroud.
- Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses. Remove radiator. Disconnect compressor electrical lead at compressor. Remove 2 top mounting compressor bolts. Raise and support vehicle. From under vehicle, loosen and remove compressor drive belt. Disconnect oxygen sensor wire connector.
- Remove A/C muffler supporting strap bolt from subframe. Disconnect and plug A/C hose from condenser and suction accumulator-drier. Remove 2 bottom compressor mounting bolts. Ensure compressor is properly supported as bolts are removed.
- Remove compressor, manifold, and tube assembly as a unit. To install, reverse removal procedure. Evacuate, recharge and leak test system. Check for proper operation.
