On Board System Readiness function is available on New Generation Star (NGS) tester or generic scan tools. Readiness function indicates status of each OBD-II monitor. Parameter Identification (PID) display on NGS tester, indicates status of monitors for a TRIP SET as either Yes or No. A trip must be completed before entry conditions necessary for the monitoring of Catalyst Efficiency Monitor test are enabled.
