Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Compressor Controls: Notes
When a mode is selected on control panel which would allow compressor clutch operation, the compressor signal must first go through the clutch cycling pressure switch. This switch signals engine Electronic Control Assembly (ECA).
The ECA controls ground path for A/C compressor cut-out relay. The ECA disengages compressor clutch during Wide Open Throttle (WOT) operation. WOT is monitored by ECA through throttle position sensor.
