Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEMΒ .
  2. Remove nuts/bolts and washers retaining air bag module to steering wheel. See Figure. Disconnect air bag module wiring connector from clockspring connector. Disconnect speed control connector, if necessary. Remove air bag module.
