Air Bypass/Air Control Valve

1983 Mercury Zephyr GS, 2.3 A, AutomaticSECTION Air Bypass/Air Control Valve

The combination air bypass/air control valve is used with some managed air thermactor systems. The valve combines the functions of the two valves into one unit. There is a normally open valve and two normally closed valves; the bleed type and the non-bleed type. The bypass portion of the valve dumps air to the atmosphere, while the control valve portion directs air upstream or downstream.
