Slower motor resistor is mounted on upper case half of evaporator assembly on Thunderbird and XR7, and on heater case assembly in engine compartment for all other models. Blower motor switch position selects amount of resistance to increase or decrease blower speed. In event thermal limiter temperature exceeds 300Β°F, contacts open and prevent blower operation in all speeds except high blower.

NOTE: Limiter switch cannot be reset if opened by overheating. Ensure that replacement switch includes a thermal limiter device.
