Procedure
1. Disconnect distributor electrical connector. Inspect connections for dirt or corrosion.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance between distributor base and black wire in distributor connector. When measuring resistance, wiggle wires to simulate any open circuits which might exist.
3. If reading obtained is less than 1 ohm, circuit is satisfactory. Inspect wiring harness and connectors between distributor and ignition module. If reading is more than 1 ohm, inspect and repair distributor ground screw.
