IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR - CENTRIFUGAL ADVANCE NOT ADJUSTABLE

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1975-83 - ALL VEHICLES
The centrifugal advance mechanism of the non-EEC Dura-Spark distributor is NOT a dealer serviceable item. Disassembly or adjustment of the mechanism is NOT warranty reimbursable.
If a TSB lists the operating limits of the centrifugal advance, it is for diagnostic reference only. If the distributor operates out of limits, it must be replaced, not recalibrated.
Under specific circumstances, a TSB may direct the technician to adjust a diaphragm assembly (12370). Without the direction of a TSB article, the diaphragm may only be replaced.
