1982 Mercury Capri L, 3.3L Eng VIN BSECTION Temperature Control Lever

This lever is cable-connected to the sensor assembly. Movement of the lever causes a change in the bias portion of the sensor and determines what temperature the system will maintain.

The temperature control lever is connected to the sensor assembly by a standard bowden wire. Movement of the control lever from 65°F to 85°F causes a corresponding movement of the preload portion of the sensor assembly and determines the temperature the system will maintain.
