Sensor Assembly: Replacement
1982 Mercury Capri L, 3.3L Eng VIN BSECTION Replacement
- Disconnect battery ground cable and remove instrument panel pad. Remove screws from sensor mounting assembly and cable housing-to-sensor. Disconnect cable end loop from lever arm and remove cable from sensor.NOTE: Do not drop screws clown defroster ducts when removing instrument panel pad. Secure control cable with tape or wire to prevent it from falling behind instrument panel.
- Remove ambient air hoses from sensor. Disconnect vacuum harness connector and remove sensor assembly from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
