Clutch Coil Replacement

1971 Mercury Cyclone GT, 5.0L Eng VIN FSECTION Clutch Coil Replacement
  1. REPLACE COILΒ 
    1. Using snap ring pliers, remove snap ring retaining coil assembly on compressor. Note location of coil lead terminals, lift coil assembly up and off compressor.
    2. Install new coil assembly on compressor with coil lead terminals in same position as old coil and make certain three locating dowels fully engage holes in compressor end plate. Install retaining snap ring.
