Disconnect bellcrank-to-carburetor rod at point C and accelerator rod at point B. Disconnect stabilizer rod at point A, and insert a 1/4" diameter pin through stabilizer and bracket. Adjust length of stabilizer rod so trunnion enters stabilizer freely, and secure stabilizer rod with retaining clip. Secure carburetor-to-bellcrank rod to bellcrank with attaching clip at point C. Adjust length of accelerator rod to obtain accelerator pedal height of 4-4 1/2" (see illustration). Connect accelerator rod to accelerator shaft with retaining clip. With engine stopped, disconnect downshift rod or cable from lever at point D. With choke in off position, depress accelerator pedal to floor and block in wide open position. Rotate downshift fever on transmission in counterclockwise direction to place it against internal stop. Adjust trunnion at point D so it enters downshift lever freely. Turn trunnion one additional turn counterclockwise, and secure to lever with retaining clip. Remove block from accelerator pedal.
