DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove holders on front spoiler. When removing front engine compartment paneling (1).  
2 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1000RG
3 Tighten screws (3). IMPORTANT Front engine compartment paneling (1) and center engine compartment paneling (4) can be removed separately.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, mount for front engine compartment paneling *BA61.40-P-1001-01E 
4 Remove screws (13, 14), release and disconnect electrical connector and remove front engine compartment lining (1). When removing front engine compartment paneling (1).
NOTES Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, mount for front engine compartment paneling *BA61.40-P-1001-01E 
5 Unscrew bolts (9) and remove left diagonal strut (7) and/or right diagonal strut (8). When removing center engine compartment paneling (4).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Do not tighten screws (9) until vehicle is in ready-to-drive condition (e. g. on a 4- post vehicle lift).		  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, diagonal strut mount to front axle carrier/longitudinal member *BA61.10-P-1004-01I 
6 Remove screws (10). When removing center engine compartment lining (4).  
7 Unscrew bolts (11) and remove center engine compartment lining (4). When removing center engine compartment lining (4).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, attachment of front/center engine compartment lining *BA61.40-P-1005-01E 
8 Install in the reverse order.
