General
The engine oil pressure and temperature sensor (1) monitors the oil pressure and temperature of the engine oil.
Function
A piezoresistive sensor element and electronics system for signal boosting and temperature compensation are integrated on a micromechanical chip. The pressure and temperature of the engine oil are routed via a connection fitting to the underside of the diaphragm of the sensor element, where it is measured.
By integrating a cap chip, the engine oil pressure and temperature sensor (1) is used to measure absolute pressures. The engine oil pressure and temperature sensor (1) transmits the recorded data to the combustion engine control unit.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
