Easy entry/exit steering column adjustment, function
In order to make it easier to leave the vehicle, the driver's seat and steering column are moved into the entry/exit position (seat moved back by 60 mm and steering column upwards).
Adjustment into the entry/exit position is triggered by the above listed changes in the ignition key position and door contact states. For this the following information is read out and processed by the driver-side seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) via the interior CAN:
The state of the
- left front door contact switch (S17/3) sent by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
The state of the circuit sent by the
- EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
- The instrument cluster (A1) sends adjustment parameters
- The left front door control unit (N69/1) sends the status of the left front seat adjustment switch group (S91/2)
If all the conditions are met and there are no termination conditions during the actuation, the height adjustment motor, up and down (<>m2) is actuated into the uppermost position via the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1)M20m2).
