Radio control panel, function - GF82.60-P-3115-04PMU
The control buttons and switches of the function keypad in the radio (A2) are read in by the microcontroller and supplied to the central computer. The actuations of the buttons and switches are processed in the central computer and transmitted over the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) or the Controller Area Network Bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) in the form of a data telegram.
If the "ON" button on the combination push and rotary button is pressed, the radio (A2) switches on. In each case the volume can be regulated with the push-button rotary switch for the audio source active. The main function keys switch over to the audio source desired by the user.
If the user presses the "tone setting" function key, the following presets can be changed:
- BASE
- TREBLE
- Balance
- Fader
- Volume
- Traffic messages
- Acoustics
Using the "Mute" function button, the audio source currently being listened to is muted.
The output signal from the radio (A2) is suppressed, and the CD disk drive goes into pause mode. If the user presses the right side of the cross-shaped rocker button (cursor button), a telephone call is answered. If the user presses the left side of the cross-shaped rocker button (cursor button), a telephone call is ended.

- Direct entry of a CD track
The cross rocker switch (cursor button) can, for example, be used for searching in the telephone book or to carry out fixed programmed commands of the respective function level. If the user presses one of the two "Search" function keys, this function is carried out in the current function level.
CD ROM disk drive
The radio (A2) is equipped with a CD disk drive. All sound and volume adjustments are made via the combination push and rotary button.
Brightness setting
To be able to see the information in the display better, an infinitely adjustable brightness adjustment is possible using the cross-shaped rocker button.
The following function groups are shown in the display:
