Combination switch, function - GF82.30-P-2100-04PS
The combination switch (S4) has different switch groups for controlling its various functions.
All switch positions are read by the steering column module, and their statuses are relayed as messages over the Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
Left and right turn signal lamp switch (S4s1):Β
The left and right turn signal lamp switch (S4s1) has three positions:
- Turn signaling off,
- Left turn signaling,
- Flashing right.
Headlamp flasher/high beam switch(S4s2)Β
As long as the headlamp flasher/high beam switch (S4s2) is operated, the corresponding contact is closed.
Low beam switch (S4s3):Β
After pressing the low beam switch (S4s3) the corresponding contact remains closed for as long as the switch is operated.
Windshield washer system switch (S4s4):Β
The windshield washer system switch (S4s4) has three positions:
- Park position,
- One-touch wiping,
- wash.
Wipe switch (S4s5):Β
The wipe switch (S4s5) has three positions:
- Windshield wiper off,

- Intermittent wiping on vehicles without code (345a) rain sensor.
- Rain sensor operation on vehicles with code (345a) rain sensor:
- wiping stage "1",
- Stage 2 wiping.
Rear-end door wiper switch (S4s11)Β
The rear-end door wiper switch (S4s11) has three positions:
- Park position,
- Intermittent wiping
- wash.

When to See a Mechanic
