    Function sequence when opening left front door 

  1. Basic prerequisite:
    • Vehicle unlocked
    • It is dark.
  2. The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) monitors the door contact switches (S17/3, S17/4, S17/5 and S17/6) on the front and rear doors.
  3. The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module recognizes via the modified switch position of the left front door contact switch (S17/3) that the left front door is opened and actuates the overhead control panel control module (N70) with the signal "left front door opened"  via the data bus (1).
  4. The overhead control panel control module starts checking the automatic light switch daylight sensor (B32/1) and recognizes that it is dark.
  5. The overhead control panel control module triggers the automatic entrance/exit lamp actuation and switches on the left front door entrance/exit lamp (E17/3).

    IMPORTANT The entrance/exit lamp is switched off immediately

    • when the door is not closed after opened after 5 min

      or

    • when the door is closed.
