Step Adjust Additional Information
1 Close trunk lid, engine hood and doors Vehicles with code (491) USA version or code (494) USA version
2 Turn key in ignition lock into position 1  
3 Press system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the basic display (speedometer or temperature display) or speed display is shown in the multifunction display (Alp13)  
4 Briefly press the instrument illumination brightness control and reset button (A1r1) 3 times An acoustic signal can be heard and the voltage is shown in the multifunction display (A1p13).
5 Press right scroll forward/back button (S110s1) The "Service menu" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
6 Press left + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1) repeatedly until the "Confirmation" menu item is highlighted  
7 Press right system selection button (S110s3) to confirm. "Confirmation" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13) and the menu item "Complete service" is highlighted.
8 Press right system selection button (S110s3) to confirm. "Service confirmed" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
9 Press left system selection button (S110s3) The "Service menu" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
10 Using the right + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1), select the menu item "Special work"  
11 Press right system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.  
12 Using the left + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1), select menu item "Service 3"  
13 Press right system selection button (S110s3) to confirm.  
14 Select the engine oil grade used by pressing the + and - buttons, setting of specific functions and volume control (S111s1). The number of selection options may vary depending on the engine.
15 Press right system selection button (S110s3) to confirm. The message "Position confirmed" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
16 Press the left system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the A1p13 basic display (speedometer or temperature display) or speed display is shown in the multifunction display  
17 Turn key in ignition lock into position 0
