1 Close trunk lid or liftgate as well as engine hood and doors Vehicles with code (491) USA version or code (494) USA version
2 Turn key in ignition switch to position "1" The standard display (kilometer counter) must appear in the multifunction display (A1p13), if necessary press the system selection button repeatedly (S110s3).
3 First press  button R (S1 10s7) and keep pressed, then 1 also  press and keep pressed button + (S111s1) within a second (A1pi3). Keep both buttons (S110s7, S111s1), pressed for approx. 5 seconds: The voltage indicator appears in the multifunction display
4 Press system selection button (S110s3) "ASSYST PLUS" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
5 Press button R (S110s7) Service data appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
6 Press system selection button (S110s3) The "Full service" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).
7 Press button R (S110s7) The current services appear in the multifunction display (A1p13).
8 Press the "System selection button" (S110s3) repeatedly until (A1p13) "Confirm service?" appears in the multifunction display
9 Press button R (S110s7)
Service information: Introduction of oil selection in instrument cluster
Service completed? appears in the multifunction display (Al p13).

Select and confirm specification of engine oil used
To reach the maximum kilometer interval of 25, 000 km/1 year, engine oil as per the Specifications for Operating Fluids, Sheet 229.5 must be used and confirmed
10 Press button + (S111 s1) "No take-back" appears in the multifunction display (Al p13).
11 Press button + (S111s1) "Full service carried out" appears in the multifunction display (Al p13).
12 Press the "System selection button" (S110s3) repeatedly until (A1p13) the standard display (kilometer counter) appears in the multifunction display
13 Turn key in ignition lock to position "0"
