2023 Mazda CX-5 SSECTION Notes

  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Rear scuff plate (RH) (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Tire house trim (RH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Trunk side upper trim (RH) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. C-pillar trim (RH) (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the keyless receiver with the connector still connected. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
  3. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
    • If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
      • If the system does not operate normally even though the parts under Inspection Item(s) and related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the keyless receiver.
