Telematics Communication Unit Inspection: Notes
2023 Mazda CX-5 SSECTION Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Switch panel (See SWITCH PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cup holder (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Selector lever knob (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION )
- Measure the voltage at each terminal.
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table, inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
- If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items or related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the telematics communication unit. (See TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
- If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table, inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
