SEAT VENTILATION SYSTEM DOES NOT OPERATE DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description The seat ventilation system does not operate even if the front seat ventilation switch is turned on.
Possible Causes
  • Front seat ventilation switch malfunction
  • Connector poor contact or terminal damage
  • Front seat ventilation control unit ground circuit malfunction
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal S and body ground
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal T and body ground
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal L and body ground
  • Front seat ventilation control unit power supply circuit malfunction
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between C/U IG1 15 A fuse and front seat ventilation control unit terminal I
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between C/U IG1 15 A fuse and front seat ventilation control unit terminal I
    • C/U IG1 15 A fuse malfunction
  • Malfunction in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit and front seat ventilation unit
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal E and driver-side front seat ventilation unit terminal D
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal E and driver-side front seat ventilation unit terminal D
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal G and passenger-side front seat ventilation unit terminal D
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation control unit terminal G and passenger-side front seat ventilation unit terminal D
  • Front seat ventilation unit ground circuit malfunction
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between front seat ventilation unit terminal C and body ground
  • Front seat ventilation unit power supply circuit malfunction
    • Short to ground in wiring harness between SEAT WARM 20 A fuse and front seat ventilation unit terminal B
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between SEAT WARM 20 A fuse and front seat ventilation unit terminal B
    • SEAT WARM 20 A fuse malfunction
  • Front seat ventilation unit malfunction
  • Front seat ventilation control unit malfunction
