Engine Disassembly/Assembly

2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring, Automatic TransSECTION Engine Disassembly/Assembly
  1. Remove the transmission from the engine. (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. The clutch unit (MT) see CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
    2. The ignition coil See IGNITION COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
    3. The CMP sensor See CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
    4. The power steering oil pump (See POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
    5. The fuel distributor and fuel injector (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
    6. The intake-air system See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
    7. The exhaust system (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
    8. The CKP sensor See CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  3. Remove the drive belt auto tensioner.

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
