- Inspect the lining surface for discoloration and grease adhesion.
- Inspect the torsion spring for weakness and the rivet for looseness.
- Using a vernier caliper, measure the depth between the lining surface and the rivet head.
- If it is less than the minimum specification, replace the clutch disc.
Clutch disc minimum depth
- 0.3 mm {0.01 in}
- Using a dial gauge, measure the clutch disc runout.
- If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the clutch disc.
