  1. Inspect the lining surface for discoloration and grease adhesion.
  2. Inspect the torsion spring for weakness and the rivet for looseness.
  3. Using a vernier caliper, measure the depth between the lining surface and the rivet head.

    • If it is less than the minimum specification, replace the clutch disc.

    Clutch disc minimum depth 

    • 0.3 mm {0.01 in}
  4. Using a dial gauge, measure the clutch disc runout.

    • If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the clutch disc.

    • 0.7 mm {0.03 in}
