CAUTION:
- Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS .)
- Switch the ignition to off.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.Β (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5] .) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO] .) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Driver-side air bag module (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
- Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITHOUT ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM] .) (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITH ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM] .)
- Column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Clock spring (See CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Combination switch (See COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
- Remove the screws shown in the figures, then pull the light switch, and the wiper and washer switch in the direction of the arrow respectively to remove them.
- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
