- Remove the upper panel. (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the shift lever knob. - Remove the selector lever knob. (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the accessory socket (front) (See ACCESSORY SOCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect a tester as shown in the figure and verify that there is continuity.
- If the continuity cannot be verified, replace the accessory socket (front).
