Horn Inspection

2013 Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed, 2.3L Eng VIN 3SECTION Horn Inspection
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5] .)(See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI TURBO] .)(See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the horn. (See HORN REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
  4. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground as shown in the figure and verify the horn beeper sound operation.

    • If the beep sound cannot be verified, replace the horn.
