- Measure the gap and height difference between the liftgate and the body.
- Loosen the liftgate hinge installation bolts and adjust the gap by moving the liftgate.
Standard clearance
- 5.0-7.0 mm {0.20-0.27 in}
- -2.0-0.0 mm {0.078-0.000 in}
- 2.5-6.5 mm {0.10-0.25 in}
- -0.2-4.2 mm {0.00-0.16 in}
- 2.8-5.2 mm {0.12-0.20 in}
- -0.7-1.7 mm {0.02-0.06 in}
- 2.0-6.0 mm {0.08-0.23 in}
- -1.5-2.5 mm {0.059-0.098 in}
- 4.0-8.0 mm {0.16-0.31 in}
- Tighten the bolts.
