2012 Mazda 6 V6-3.7LSECTION Service and Repair




KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6]

NOTE:
- Put a tray under the converter housing to receive the engine coolant.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

2. Perform the following procedure for easier access.

- Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". Before Service Precaution
- Remove the engine cover. Engine Cover Removal/Installation
- Remove the ventilation hose. Service and Repair
- Remove the TP sensor connector. Service and Repair
- Remove the vacuum hose (to purge solenoid valve). Service and Repair
- Remove the vacuum hose (to master back). Service and Repair
- Remove the dynamic chamber. Service and Repair
- Remove the fuel hose. Quick Release Connector Removal/Installation
- Remove the fuel distributor. Service and Repair
- Remove the intake manifold. Service and Repair

3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.










NOTE:
- Lubricate the new O-ring with clean engine coolant for installation.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

5. Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". After Service Precaution
