SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING

The roof opening panel leaks
  • Incorrect roof opening panel glass alignment

The roof opening panel does not open or close

The roof opening panel does not stop in flush from any position
  • Incorrect roof opening panel glass alignment
The express open is inoperative

  • Roof opening panel motor
The roof opening panel shows unexpected bounce back at high speed
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Roof opening panel initialization
The roof opening panel does not close, will not vent fully or opens too far.
  • Inadvertent reinitialization roof opening panel while operation of panel is obstructed. Obstruction may no longer be present.
  • Inadvertent reinitialization roof opening panel while the roof opening panel is not properly aligned or in a binding condition.
  • Inadvertent reinitialization can occur when the steps for reinitialization are completed unintentionally such as the following.
    • Turning off vehicle and opening door.
    • Realize the roof opening panel is not closed.
    • Reinsert key and turn ignition to ACC or ON position (within 5 seconds of having removed the key and opening door).
    • Press front portion of the control switch for 1 second.
    • Immediately press and hold the front portion of the control switch and release when roof opening panel reaches fully closed position.
  • In this scenario, the roof opening panel will think it is in full vent.
  • Press and release the rear portion of the control switch to the second detent position or hold the rear portion of the control switch until the roof opening panel is in the fully open position.
  • Press and release the front portion of the control switch to the second detent position. Roof opening panel will move to what it "thinks" is the fully closed position.
  • REINITIALIZE the roof opening panel motor from this position. See ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION/SYNCHRONIZATION - RESYNCHRONIZATION PROCEDURE . TEST the system for normal operation.
