- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L5] ).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the plug hole plate.(See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the CMP sensor connector.
- Remove the CMP sensor. (See CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ ).
- Verify that there are no metal shavings on the CMP sensor.
- Remove any metal shavings that are adhering.
