Vehicle Speed Sensor

2011 Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed, 2.3 3SECTION Vehicle Speed Sensor

Remove vehicle speed sensor from transmission. Connect AC voltmeter (5-volt scale) between vehicle speed sensor terminals. See Fig 1 . Rotate vehicle speed sensor driven gear by hand. If voltage pulses are detected, vehicle speed sensor is okay. If voltage pulses are not detected, replace vehicle speed sensor.
