Generating Readiness Code
2011 Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed, 2.3 3SECTION Generating Readiness Code
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 164 other vehicles, including the 2002 Volvo V70, 2002 Volvo V40, 2002 Volvo S80, 2002 Volvo S60, and 2002 Volvo S40. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Before generating readiness code, perform a long road test. Coolant temperature needs to be greater than 176Β° F (80Β° C). Idle, partial throttle, full throttle and overdrive, all must be attained several times. During test drive, apply full throttle until engine speed exceeds 3500 RPM. Read readiness code. OBD system checks components and generates Readiness Code at regular intervals during normal driving.
