HOOD ADJUSTMENT
Gap Adjustment
1. Measure the gap between the hood and body.
Standard clearance
- a: 0.0-3.6 mm {0.00-0.14 in}
- b: -1.5-2.5 mm {-0.05-0.09 in}
- c: -2.0-2.2 mm {-0.07-0.07 in}
- d: 0.6-2.0 mm {0.02-0.07 in}
- e: -1.0-1.0 mm {-0.03-0.03 in}
- f: -1.5-1.5 mm {-0.05-0.054 in}
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Windshield wiper arm and blade (See Windshield Wiper Arm and Blade Removal/Installation)
b. Cowl grill (See Cowl Grille Removal/Installation)
4. Loosen the hood hinge installation bolts and adjust the hood.
5. Tighten the bolts. (See Service and Repair)
Height Adjustment
1. Measure the height difference between the hood and body.
Clearance
- a: 2.8-5.8 mm {0.11-0.22 in}
- b: 3.0-6.0 mm {0.12-0.23 in}
- c: 2.0-5.0 mm {0.07-0.19 in}
- d: -1.2-1.2 mm {-0.04-0.04 in}
2. Turn the stop rubber to adjust.
