Mode 2 - EGR System Repair Verification Drive Mode

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Mode 2 - EGR System Repair Verification Drive Mode
  1. Perform Drive Mode 1 first.
  2. Verify all accessory loads (A/C, headlights, blower fan, rear window defroster) are off.
  3. Ensure engine at normal operating temperature and drive vehicle as shown in the graph. SeeFig 1.
  4. Stop vehicle and access ON BOARD SYSTEM READINESS menu of GENERIC OBD-II FUNCTIONS to inspect Drive Mode completion status.
    • If completed, RFC change from NO to YES.
    • If not completed, turn ignition key off and repeat test from step 3).
  5. Access DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS menu of GENERIC OBD-II FUNCTIONS to inspect monitor results:
    • If MEAS are within specification, repair is completed.
    • If MEAS are not within specification, repair is not completed.
  6. Verify no DTCs are available.
