- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the battery duct. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Side wall.
- Heat insulator (front and center).
- Selector lever knob and indicator component.
- Center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
- Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table in illustration.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the selector lever component. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
