Selector Lever Component Inspection

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Selector Lever Component Inspection

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the battery duct. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  4. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side wall.
    2. Heat insulator (front and center).
    3. Selector lever knob and indicator component.
    4. Center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
  6. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table in illustration.
