- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the battery duct. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the key interlock solenoid connector.
- Verify the continuity between terminals A and B.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the steering lock. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
