EGR Position Sensor

The EGR position sensor is part of the EGR valve. Disconnect the EGR position sensor connector. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR control valve. Measure the resistance between the EGR position sensor terminals. Refer to the EGR POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCEΒ  table. See Fig 1 . Apply 5.9 in. Hg of vacuum to EGR position sensor and recheck resistance. If resistance is not as specified, replace EGR valve.
