No.6 Security Access Procedure: Procedure

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Procedure

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initialization screen of the M-MDS.
    • When using the IDS (laptop PC)
      1. Select the "Body".
      2. Select the "Security".
      3. Select the "PATS Functions".
    • When using the PDS (Pocket PC)
      1. Select the "Programming".
      2. Select the "PATS Functions".

  3. Then, select items from the screen menu in the following order.
    • Program additional ignition key
    • Ignition Key Code Erase and Program
    • Customer Spare Key Programming Enable
    • Customer Spare Key Programming Disable
    • Parameter Reset
  4. The security access begins and the M-MDS displays the "OUT-CODE".
    NOTE:
    • When "OUT-CODE" is first displayed, turning the ignition switch from the LOCK to the ON position 5 times will change the "OUT-CODE".
  5. Input "IN-CODE" corresponding to "OUT-CODE" displayed on the M-MDS screen.
  6. If the security access is successful, selected item can be performed.
